II Timothy 4:2 ” Be prepared in season and out of season.”

This verse has nothing to do about time…it has all to do about us. When the power of the Anointing falls, and we’re being used of God in mighty ways, we want that feeling to last forever…but it doesn’t work that way. The Anointing comes in waves, lest we become so big-headed to start believing its us doing these wonderful things…not God through us. But regardless, we still need to be ready whether we feel like it or not…whether it’s convenient or not. For if God says go – He will meet us there.

Job 6: 2-3 ” If only my anguish could be weighed and all my misery be placed on scales! It would surely outweigh the sands of the seas.”

Job endured the profound grief of burying all ten of his children. He stood in the wake of destruction after losing all his servants and livestock to marauding tribes and fire. It’s no wonder he was comparing his deep anguish to the heaviness of all the wet sand in the ocean. The burden and despair Job was carrying was almost too much for him to bear.

Matthew 28:20 ” And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

Jesus is the only one that can give you this kind of absolute statement. Reassuringly, and lovingly, Jesus says that He will be with you, no matter what…and He will walk with you, side by side, until the culmination of time as we know it.

Luke 24:47 “…repentance and forgiveness of sins will be preached in His name to all the nations.”

“Give me the Nations, Lord.” And the Lord is ever faithful, with 61 countries now reading Safetypinlove. I never imagined when I started out 1 1/2 years ago that it would reach more than just a handful of friends…but the Lord had bigger plans, so without any marketing or publicity, He took His Word forth. My tiny vision for this Devotional had to race to keep up with His. Fear and doubt have threatened to pull it off course, but my prayer everyday remains the same, “I ask for my daily bread Father, that I may give it to others.”

Habakkuk 2:3 ” For the revelation awaits an appointed time… Though it linger, wait for it…”

Patience is to sustain calmly, when all we really want to do is not wait! The Lord plants a vision in our heart, we know it’s out there, but the key is timing. Self control and endurance enables us to wait for God’s timing…for His timing is always perfect. It’s never too early, never too late…always at the appointed time.

Ephesians 4:24 “and to put on the new self, created to be like God in true righteousness and holiness.”

We are to clothe our human bodies with the likeness of Christ…so that when people look, it’s not us they see, but Him. And while it’s important to look like Jesus, we’re to behave like Him also…having a Christ-like moral and spiritual character within.

Joshua 10:12 ” On the day the Lord gave the Amorites over to Israel, Joshua said to the Lord in the presence of Israel: ‘ O sun, stand still over Gibeon, O moon, over the Valley of Aijalon.’ “

At Joshua’s request, God caused the sun to stand still mid-day for almost a full day so that the Israelite army could be victorious over the Amorites. There are only two times recorded in the Old Testament where God actually interrupted time. In Isaiah 38:7-8, God gave Hezekiah a sign that he would recover from his illness by making the sun’s movement reverse. If the Lord has the power to make time stand still, or even go backwards…don’t you think He has the power to do the thing you’ve been praying for?
