We humans are a wretched group, easily deceived by evil and ever missing the mark. But despite this all…God knows and understands us! He searches the character and integrity of each person, looking into our inner most being, weighing all our actions and behaviors…and then rewarding each accordingly.

Luke 3:16 ” John answered them all, ‘ I baptize you with water. But one more powerful than I will come, the thongs of whose sandals I am not worthy to untie. He will baptize you with the Holy Spirit and with fire.’ “
When we’re baptized by the Holy Spirit, it’s not only a Spiritual renewal, but we are endued by God’s wonderful presence…His mighty power…and His all-consuming purification. God’s magnificent fire…ever changing us into His likeness.
Isaiah 30:30 ” The Lord will cause men to hear His majestic voice.”
The world may disregard and brush God aside. They may snub and scorn the name of Jesus. But there’s coming a day when ignoring God will be impossible. His glory and splendor will be irrefutable…His majesty will spread across the vast expanse of sky. And at that moment, God’s mighty voice will be heard by all…causing every knee to bow and every tongue to confess that Jesus is Lord.
Acts 4:32 ” All the Believers were one in heart and mind.”
No matter where you live…no matter who you are, your nationality, color or race…if you have taken the name Christian as your own…we are all one. We are all under Christ Jesus in total unity – unanimous in our love, wishes, and desires for each other. We are bound together across these vast miles by one thing…the blood of our Savior and His great love for us.
I Corinthians 1: 24 “…whom God has called.”
I hear it all the time…someone will piously look at me and say, “Oh, God could never use me.” My answer to them is, “That answer is straight from the pit of hell. God can use anyone or thing He wants. And your pious, self-serving attitude is simply pride.” Who are we to dictate what God can do in and through us? Everyone is called of God…even if we don’t believe it, for God looks beyond our shortcomings, and to what we can become in Him.
I Corinthians 3:16 ” Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit lives in you? “
Within that place we call our body dwells the Holy Spirit. What a wonderful realization that God actually resides inside us…that still small voice offering direction, comfort, and at times conviction. It is God in us…the indwelling Holy Spirit ever at work in our lives.
II Samuel 22:47 ” The Lord lives! Praise be to my Rock! Exalted be God, the Rock, my Savior! “
There is no firmer a foundation than our Lord. To stand in the center of His Will, is to stand on solid, unshakeable ground. He is the Rock we can run to for deliverance and protection from the storms of life. ” Sing for joy to the Lord, let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation.” (Psalm 95:1)
Galatians 3:22 ” But the scripture declares that the whole world is a prisoner of sin, so that what was promised, being given through faith in Jesus Christ, might be given to those who believe.”
Like fish caught in a net…we’re all seized by the guilt of sin and disobedience. But there is a Savior, called Jesus, who can set us free from that net that holds us so tightly. Through faith and trust in Him, the net of sin can no longer hold us captive.
John 21: 19 ” Follow Me! “
What does it really mean to follow Jesus? It’s not just accompanying Him down the path of life, passively participating as Jesus does all the work. Following our Lord means actively pursuing a life of trust and obedience. It means holding fast to His lead and example…and sharing in His sufferings. “Follow Me!”, is fellow-shipping at the most intimate level with our Savior.
Psalm 37:8 ” Do not fret – it only causes harm.”
Worrying – has it ever changed a moment of our life? Some have elevated worrying to an art form. It permeates every facet of their lives…they know nothing else than to worry about everything…of which 99% of it is totally out of their control. And that’s where the real problem lies. Worrying is not us being wise…it’s rather us being wicked… for worrying is wanting to be in control, and not allowing God to be.
