Galatians 3:28 ” There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Jesus Christ.”

All barriers to Jesus are gone…nothing can now keep you from Him. All social, economical, or gender based limits have been abolished through the blood of Christ. There is but one flock…with one Shepherd.

Micah 2:7 ” Do not My Words do good to him whose ways are upright? “

By obeying the Lord’s commands and being in His Word daily, we will benefit in all ways. Good will come our way…practically, economically, and materially as we live according to His Word.

Acts 20: 24 ” … if only I may finish the race and complete the task the Lord Jesus has given me.”

This should be the prayer and wish of every Believer – to complete the calling that God has given us. Yes, each one of us has been called into a Ministry of some sort. It may be small or large, private or public, modest or grand. But with the calling, comes the work of accomplishing it to the very best of our ability – with God’s help and guidance.

Proverbs 13: 21 ” Misfortune pursues the sinner, but prosperity is the reward of the righteous.”

Good luck – bad luck…the world looks at it like we have no control over what we get. But many times it’s the foolish and reckless decisions we make prior that decide that final outcome. Luck has nothing to do with it when it comes to living a Godly life full of wisdom, prudence, and self-control.

Jeremiah 50: 34 ” Yet their Redeemer is strong; the Lord Almighty is His name. He will vigorously defend their cause…”

God’s powerful hand is ever hovering over you to fiercely protect and contend on your behalf. There is none like His equal. He is your kinsman Redeemer…your Deliverer…the Lord Almighty is His name.

Matthew 16:24 “… and take up his cross and follow Me.”

We are called to follow Jesus with a believing trust and obedience. We are called to follow His leading and act according to His example. Our relationship and fellowship with our Lord and Savior is at the very heart of our walk with Him…it needs to be cared for and nurtured on a daily basis. This new year, determine in your mind to follow the Lord more closely…to be in His Word daily…to listen for His voice more acutely…to commune with Him more actively. At the start of this new year…follow Jesus.

Isaiah 55:7 ” Let the wicked forsake his way.”

Going into the new year…don’t take extra baggage with you. Leave behind those habits that aren’t healthy. Cast off those secret sins that only God and you know. Put aside those things that are good, but take time away from your relationship with the Lord. Forsake anything that you don’t want to continue to battle with…leave it behind.
