Romans 15:1 We who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak and not to please ourselves.”

As we grow in our Christian faith, things that tempted us early on no longer entice us… for we have grown in wisdom and godliness.  So when you see a new Christian struggling,  remember where you were as a baby Christian, and as  I Thess. 5:14 says, “Help the weak, be patient with everyone.”  God  brought them to you to encourage not to condemn.

I Corinthians 4:1 ” So then, men ought to regard us as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the secret things of God.”

Just who is a servant of God?  Pastors and Ministers…yes.  Evangelists and Missionaries…yes.  But have you ever given thought that you also are a servant of God?  As a Believer, you have been given the responsibly as a Steward of the Gospel.  In your Christian journey, the divine truths of following Jesus are being revealed to you every day.  As a Believer, you are then held accountable for spreading the Gospel Message to those the Lord brings across your path.

Philippians 3:12 ” Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me.”

You are still running your race.  You are still fighting the good fight of faith.  So forget about the mistakes you made yesterday and instead reach for the goal before you…and you will find it.

II Corinthians 10: 17-18 ” But, let him who boasts boast in the Lord. For, it is not the one who commends himself who is approved, but the one whom the Lord commends.”

The longevity of a ministry has little to do with administrative guidance, good funding, or broad appeal.  If you look at the world-wide ministries that have  endured for decades, you see humble men and women that don’t call attention to themselves, but rather continually point the way to the Cross as sinners saved by grace.

II Peter 3:18 ” But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.”

But grow in grace and knowledge…what does that exactly mean to you?  Is your life a shining example of Christ’s love within?  Do you exhibit the same virtues and excellence you have on Sunday at Church as in the Board Room on Monday?  Does the holiness you strive for follow you everywhere, or just to certain places?  Growing in grace and knowledge of our Lord is a process…hopefully, an ongoing, ever-growing process…so that when people look at you…they just see Jesus.

Philippians 1:13 ” As a result, it has become clear throughout the whole palace guard and to everyone else that I am in chains for Christ.”

Yes, Paul did have a “captive” audience to preach to…soldiers, guards, and other prisoners.  But his example and love of Jesus shone through the dismal and wretched conditions.  Paul simply loved people and built bridges of encouragement and trust with anyone he came in contact with.

Proverbs 25:24 ” Better to live on a corner of the roof than share a house with a quarrelsome wife.”

When I was growing up, husbands had their garages to escape to…now they have their fancy  “Man Caves.”  Either way,  what are they getting away from?  Has the family unit disintegrated into constant dissension and strife… with no one winning just everyone losing?

Romans 16:17 ” I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned.”

You will hear something, and it won’t sit well with your Spirit.  It may not be blatantly against what the Bible teaches…but it still gives an uneasy feeling when you hear it.  Satan will corrupt and twist a Biblical principle just enough in order to make it “more politically correct and acceptable to all”…because you know, we don’t want to offend anyone.  But unfortunately, bending over backwards as to not offend anyone, has gone to a whole new low in Christian circles.

Psalm 133: 1 ” How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!”

If Christians can’t find co-operation and devotion to one another in brotherly love…who can?   Understanding, peace, and harmony must start within the Christian body and move out beyond the Church walls…for as Jesus said, “So that they may be one as we are one.”

Acts 24:16 ” So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.”

A clean conscience is free from guilt…it knows the difference between right and wrong and tries hard not to offend.  In Daniel 6:4 the Administrators and satraps of the government were trying to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of governmental affairs, but they were unable to do so…they could find no corruption in him, because he was trust worthy and neither corrupt nor negligent in his dealings.  Daniel was a man of integrity before God and man.
