II Chronicles 20:17 ” You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you…”

You don’t need to fight those battles alone.  You don’t have to stand unaided in front of the enemy of this world defenseless and vulnerable.  The Lord tells us very specifically in this scripture what our role should be in battle.  We are to stand our ground and commit ourselves to trusting God.  We are to hold our ground, not wavering in our belief that God is in control and fighting on our behalf.  Finally, we are to watch as the Lord works… giving us the victory.

Luke 6: 27-28 ” But I tell you who hear Me: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.”

You can’t change how others in the world will react and behave towards you.  The only thing you can change is how you respond…and this scripture is very direct in how you should go about it.  You should love.  Not loving the sin, but loving the sinner.  You should bless.  This means speaking well of someone even if you don’t agree with their life-style.  You should pray.  Now this is probably the most important command… for pray changes not only the person you’re praying for, but it changes you.

Psalm 80:3 ” Restore us O God; make Your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.”

Turn us around Lord.  Return us to our first love and enable us to know again the joy of our salvation.  As it says in Psalm 71:20, “Though You have made me see troubles many and bitter, You will restore my life again.”  Refresh us  O Lord that we may restore others around us.

Isaiah 57: 14-15 ” And it will be said: ‘Build up, build up, prepare the road! Remove the obstacles out of the way of My people.’ For this is what the high and lofty One says – He who lives forever, whose name is holy: ‘I live in a high and holy place, but also with him who is contrite and lowly in spirit, to revive the spirit of the lowly and to revive the heart of the contrite.’ “

A refreshing is coming.  A time of spiritual edification and uplifting for all Believers.  God will send a new wind of change…to restore and strengthen the broken and discouraged.  He will breathe new life into old places…and fresh vision into tired and apathetic souls.  As Oswald Chambers once said, ” Beware of paying attention or going back to what you once were, when God wants you to be something that you have never been .”  A new wind is coming…a time of refreshing is upon us.

Psalm 38:15 ” I wait for You, O Lord; You will answer, O Lord my God.”

If you’re praying but not expecting…why even bother?  If you’re simply mouthing words because it’s the thing to do, but  have no hope  that God will answer…why waste your breath.  If it’s only for show that you pray…why even go there if you don’t truly believe that your prayers are heard?  If you’re praying, but not expecting God to move…why bother.

I John 4:18 ” There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear, because fear has to do with punishment. The one who fears is not made perfect in love.”

With maturity in the Lord comes new boldness and confidence.  A strong Christian walk seasons and prepares us so that when fear threatens, we can face it without anxiety and insecurity.  The time is now to face that fear head on…don’t allow it to control and  dominate your life…for that fear causes you to forfeit your peace and wellbeing.

I John 4:4 ” You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”

Just imagine what Godly power and boldness you could possess if the significance of this verse could sink deeply into your soul.  There would be no limit to your trust and faith in the Lord.  You would speak to  mountains and they would throw themselves into the sea.  You would pray for people and they would be instantaneously be healed. Grasp this scripture and the importance of its meaning…ponder it…receive it…walk in it.

I Chronicles 29:11 ” Yours, O Lord, is the greatness and power and the glory and the majesty and the splendor, for everything in heaven and earth is Yours.”

Lord, You are the King of glory.  We thank and praise You,  for You have founded this world and all that is in it. (Psalm 89:11)  Your strength and might…Your glorious beauty is everlasting and forever.  You are great, and greatly to be praised on heaven and earth…Your splendor and greatness is beyond comprehension.

Matthew 10:29 ” Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground apart from the will of your Father.”

The next time you feel worthless, or insignificant…look outside at the little birds in the tree.  Our Heavenly Father knows the moment any tumble from the sky, but you also need to know that you are so much more valuable than any little bird in His eyes. ( Matthew 10:31)  To God,  you are esteemed, treasured, and cherished.  So today, if your self-worth is in the toilet…go outside and look at the birds.

Proverbs 13:10 ” Pride only breeds quarrels, but wisdom is found in those who take advice.”

Arrogance and conceit can only bring out the worst in people.  A prideful spirit will tell you that you’re better  than everyone else and can do as you wish, but this only leads to problems when you come across someone with that same attitude!  This Proverb advises instead that we take our practical spirituality and accept counsel from others.
