Acts 10: 34-35 ” Then Peter began to speak: ‘I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism but accepts men from every nation who fear Him and do what is right.’ “

It’s perfectly level at the foot of the Cross.  It is even and equal in every respect, for there is no favoritism with God. (Ephesians 6:9)  He doesn’t play the partiality card with us…for there’s no different sections around the Cross depending on how “good” we are… no First Class, Second Class, and cargo sections laid out that we must adhere to.  It is totally level and totally impartial…for you see, we are all one in Christ Jesus. (Galatians 3:28)

James 2:1 ” My brothers, as believers in our glorious Lord Jesus Christ, don’t show favoritism.”

As Christians, we are to be imitators of  Christ.  We are to follow His lead in how to deal with people we come in contact with daily.  This requirement of impartiality towards others is displayed throughout the Bible…making it very clear, “God does not show favoritism.”  Partiality  and bias are easy traps to fall into,  unless we make a conscious decision to follow the pattern of Jesus instead.   For if you boil favoritism down…all you get is the ugliness of bigotry and prejudice.
