I may not think I do, but I judge people all the time. It’s our human nature to discriminate between good and bad…but most times it’s more subjective than objective! For we usually judge someone according to our own personal preferences, upbringing, and mores… rather than assessing them impartially through eyes of mercy and love. The Bible tells us there is only One that can judge, and we know we have a righteous and just God that is more than capable…and doesn’t need our help!

Deuteronomy 6:13 ” Fear the Lord your God, serve Him only and take your oaths in His name.”
When you go to court, before you are allowed to speak, you are sworn in. This swearing in is a pledge of allegiance to give your word or truth…so help you God. But God also used oaths to show with absolute certainty that His promises would be kept…and since there was no higher authority than Himself, God swore by Himself. In Isaiah 45:23 He said, “By Myself I have sworn.” And in Jeremiah 22:5, He exclaims, “I swear by Myself.” When we take an oath in God’s name, it is a binding agreement or covenant…a solemn pledge not to be taken lightly.
Hebrews 2:8 ” In putting everything under Him, God left nothing that is not subject to Him. Yet at present we do not see everything subject to Him.”
It’s almost like the Writer of Hebrews is looking around at the wickedness in the world at that time and lamenting…”Yet at present we do not see everything subject to Him.” And sadly, we could say the same thing today as we survey the evilness and rebellion in our world. Jesus Christ has supreme power and rule and there will come a day when He takes His rightful seat of authority over this broken world. For submission to authority is either compulsory or voluntary…demanded or deliberate. And on that day, every knee will bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. There will be no insubordination or willfulness…no pride or arrogance…for the world will see Jesus in all His glory, and there will be silence.
