God and Moses communicated directly with one another. Moses received no dreams or visions from the Lord that were open to human interpretation, rather, they spoke face to face with a clear, open dialogue between the two of them. During those awesome conversations, Moses witnessed the manifestation of God’s glory brought down to earth.

Numbers 21: 8-9 ” The Lord said to Moses, ‘Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live.’ Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake, he lived.”
God had sent a plague of snakes to the rebellious Israelites in the wilderness, with many dying of poisonous bites. When Moses cried out to the Lord on their behalf, God instructed him to make the Nehushtan. Sadly, in II Kings 18:4, King Hezekiah broke the bronze snake into pieces because the people were treating it as an idol and burning incense to it. They were exalting the object rather than worshipping the God who healed them.
Exodus 4:13 ” But Moses said, ‘ O Lord, please send someone else to do it.’ “
This was the fifth time Moses had balked when the Lord called him to lead the Jewish people. Each time God called, Moses used every excuse in the book of why he couldn’t. We do the same thing…God calls and we make excuses of why we can’t. But God didn’t ask Moses to do anything other than be obedient…and He does the same of you. God will equip and enable you with everything you need to accomplish the task He has called you to. The next time God tells you to do something, don’t start objecting…just say “Yes”.
