Prudence…a word you seldom hear now a days. It’s definition means to have carefulness and foresight. If before we spoke, we would employ both these concepts mentally…I dare say we would not be blurting out things we wish we hadn’t said.

Micah 5:2 ” But you, Bethlehem Ephrathah, though you are small among the clans of Judah, out of you will come for Me one who will be Ruler over Israel, whose origins are from of old, from ancient times.”
700 years later, in a quiet unpretentious little town, the Messiah was born. There was no fanfare, no pomp and pageantry…just a barn and a baby. The Lord would rather use the humble…the plain and ordinary to do His best work. Common, simple people are His very best instrument for some of His most wonderful miracles. Don’t ever dismiss yourself as someone God could never use…for in fact, you are exactly who He wants.
Psalm 10:14 ” But You, O God, do see trouble and grief; You consider it to take it in hand. The victim commits himself to You; You are the helper of the fatherless.”
The Lord understands the misery and sorrow you may feel today. He wants to take that pain from you…placing it in His all-powerful hands and off your shoulders. If burdens are weighing you down today…entrust yourself to God’s mercy and fall upon His grace.
Galatians 3:26-28 ” You are all sons of God through faith in Jesus Christ…There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Jesus Christ.”
We are all one in Christ. There is not one nationality or people group above another in God’s sight. We are all one in Christ. There is no social or economical stigma in God’s family…for we all stand equal in His eyes…from the least to the greatest. We are all one in Christ. There are no gender barriers stopping any of us from fulfilling God’s plan and purpose in our lives. We are all one in Christ Jesus.
Luke 7: 13 ” When the Lord saw her, His heart went out to her and He said, ‘Don’t cry.’ “
Jesus and His Disciples were traveling to a town called Nain, when they came upon a funeral procession of the only son of a widow. Jesus looked on her with compassion, for she had not only lost her only boy, but also her sole means of income. This tenderness towards the woman was prompted perhaps by Jesus remembering His own mother and what she soon would be going through. For Jesus then spoke to the corpse , “Get up!” and the young man sat up and Jesus gave him back to his mother.
II Chronicles 20:17 ” You will not have to fight this battle. Take up your positions; stand firm and see the deliverance the Lord will give you…”
You don’t need to fight those battles alone. You don’t have to stand unaided in front of the enemy of this world defenseless and vulnerable. The Lord tells us very specifically in this scripture what our role should be in battle. We are to stand our ground and commit ourselves to trusting God. We are to hold our ground, not wavering in our belief that God is in control and fighting on our behalf. Finally, we are to watch as the Lord works… giving us the victory.
Psalm 80:3 ” Restore us O God; make Your face shine upon us, that we may be saved.”
Turn us around Lord. Return us to our first love and enable us to know again the joy of our salvation. As it says in Psalm 71:20, “Though You have made me see troubles many and bitter, You will restore my life again.” Refresh us O Lord that we may restore others around us.
Romans 1:11-12 ” I long to see you so that I may impart to you some spiritual gift to make you strong – that is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each other’s faith.”
There’s no way around it…we all need to be around fellow Believers. There’s nothing like being with like-minded Christians…sharing, listening, and bearing each others burdens in prayer. All of us need encouragement and our faith strengthened by interacting with other Believers…we all need to hear how God is moving in other’s lives. As it says in Proverbs 27:17, ” As iron sharpens iron, so one man sharpens another.” Think of it…something the Lord has brought you through is exactly what someone needs to hear today.
I John 4:4 ” You, dear children, are from God and have overcome them, because the One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
Just imagine what Godly power and boldness you could possess if the significance of this verse could sink deeply into your soul. There would be no limit to your trust and faith in the Lord. You would speak to mountains and they would throw themselves into the sea. You would pray for people and they would be instantaneously be healed. Grasp this scripture and the importance of its meaning…ponder it…receive it…walk in it.
