Paul’s letter to the Romans tried to explain our incomprehension of God’s greatness when he said, “Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God!” (Romans 11:33) As humans, we cannot start to understand or ever figure out just how wonders and miracles happen…for the Lord’s power is truly unfathomable.

Isaiah 63:7 ” I will tell of the kindnesses of the Lord, the deeds for which He is to be praised, according to all the Lord has done for us – yes, the many good things He has done for the house of Israel, according to His compassion and many kindnesses.”
When was the last time you told someone what the Lord was doing in your life? We forget to share with each other the small miracles…the blessings…the small but good stuff. We’re really good about complaining…how about praising instead.
Psalm 88: 1-2 “O Lord, the God who saves me, day and night I cry out before You. My prayer comes before You; turn Your ear to my cry.”
When our prayers rise to heaven, the Lord hears. When He hears, He answers. When He answers, He always acts on our behalf…according to His perfect Will.
Acts 24:16 ” So I strive always to keep my conscience clear before God and man.”
A clean conscience is free from guilt…it knows the difference between right and wrong and tries hard not to offend. In Daniel 6:4 the Administrators and satraps of the government were trying to find grounds for charges against Daniel in his conduct of governmental affairs, but they were unable to do so…they could find no corruption in him, because he was trust worthy and neither corrupt nor negligent in his dealings. Daniel was a man of integrity before God and man.
I Corinthians 2: 6-7 ” We do, however, speak a message of wisdom among the mature, but not the wisdom of this age or of the rulers of this age, who are coming to nothing. No, we speak of God’s secret wisdom, a wisdom that has been hidden and that God destined for our glory before time began.”
The principles and judgment of this day and age are totally opposed to God’s wisdom. The absurdity and foolishness people look to as sage advice are laughable in the eyes of the Lord. True Godly wisdom is hidden naturally to mankind and unknown to human reasoning. It is only made known to the Believer by Godly revelation.
II Kings 4:2 ” Elisha replied to her, ‘How can I help you? Tell me, what do you have in your house?’ “
A desperate, grieving widow of a fellow prophet came to Elisha beseeching him to help her before the creditors took her two boys away to satisfy her debts. But instead of offering help, Elisha turned the question back on her. What do you have in your house…what do you have within yourself? The Lord has already placed within us everything we’ll ever need to be victorious over any situation. Elisha wanted the widow to realize the wealth and power she already possessed.
II Samuel 22: 2-4 ” The Lord is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation. He is my stronghold, my refuge and my savior – from violent men You have saved me. I will call to the Lord, who is worthy of praise, and I am saved from my enemies.”
The Lord is my stability in an uncertain and constantly wavering world. He is my safe refuge where I am able to retreat, rest, and rebuild my shattered hopes and dreams. The Lord is my advocate and protector when I cry out for mercy. The Lord is my Lord.
Isaiah 55:11 ” So is My Word that goes out from My mouth: It will not return to Me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.”
Every letter, word, and commandment of the Lord is divine revelation…His creative activity at work…active and alive. Not one bit is worthless, trivial or futile in its nature. Every Word from God will go forth, carrying out and realizing the specific intent, mission and goal it was designed to do.
Psalm 45:1 ” My heart is stirred by a noble theme as I recite my verses for the King; my tongue is the pen of a skillful writer.”
Religious scribes were an important and integral part of ancient Jewish history. They preserved and interpreted the Holy Scriptures. When they spoke the word of the Lord out loud to the people…they were speaking on behalf of God…knowing His word would never return void without first accomplishing its purpose…the ultimate purpose for each listening ear.
Ecclesiastes 2:26 ” To the man who pleases Him, God gives wisdom, knowledge, and happiness, but to the sinner He gives the task of gathering and storing up wealth to hand it over to the one who pleases God.”
To the Believer, the Lord bestows not only godly insight and discernment…but also optimism and deep contentment. But to the non-Believer, the Lord gives the assignment of acquiring wealth in order to bless Believers with provision and prosperity.
