The Lord is that stability when life’s events and circumstances come crashing down on our heads. He’s that wall around us when the world is crowding in and threatening to overwhelm. The fear of Him is the beginning of knowledge. (Proverbs 1:7)

Romans 1:12 ” That is, that you and I may be mutually encouraged by each others faith.”
I’d love to hear how the Lord is working in your life…how He’s answered prayer, or provided in a time of need, or blessed you in an unexpected way. We all need to share these faith-building moments with each other, for by them, faith rises, confidence grows, and as a group, we are all urged forward in Christ.
Psalm 55:22 ” Cast your cares on the Lord and He will sustain you; He will never let the righteous fall.”
The other verse similar to this one is found in I Peter 5:7, ” Cast all your anxiety on Him for He cares for you.” The Greek meaning for cast in both these verses shows movement and force…in other words, the Lord wants us to not just drop our troubles at His feet, but rather hurl or fling them at Him. So the next time problems and fears are welling up inside you, get rid of them – throw them at the Lord…He’ll catch them!
II Samuel 7:20 ” … For You know Your servant, O Sovereign Lord.”
You say, that people don’t understand you…but God does. You say, that they can’t comprehend what you’ve gone through…but God can. You say, that no one can imagine your pain…but God does. Only the Lord understands intimately what’s happened in your life…only He knows all things about you. Only the Lord has seen every sorrow and counted every tear.
Revelation 3:20 ” Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with Me.”
The time is now, the Lord is there persistently tapping at the door to your heart. He desires to come in and begin a close relationship with you. Do you hear His still, small voice calling your name…but more importantly, will you respond by opening the door to your heart and allowing Him to come in? The Lord is at all times a gentleman…He will not bash down the door, but rather will wait patiently for you to answer…is today the day you will?
Acts 9: 3-4 ” As he neared Damascus on his journey, suddenly a light from heaven flashed around him. He fell to the ground and heard a voice say to him, ‘Saul, Saul, why do you persecute me?’ “
Have you ever had a “Road to Damascus moment”? A time when the Lord finally gets your full attention..and usually it’s not in a good way either. The Lord will do what it takes to get our undivided concentration, whether by situation or person. I’ve heard it said that sometimes we have to be in the gutter before we can look up. When we’ve come to the end of ourselves… when He has eliminated all distractions… then and only then can we clearly hear the Voice of the Lord.
