I Peter 3:9 ” Do not repay evil with evil or insult, but with blessing, because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing.”

Most of the time when someone gives us a snide remark or an unkind, hurtful comment, we become offended. Anger rises up, and we feel slighted, disrespected and belittled. At that very moment, the Lord is asking us to stop our inclination to confront and trade insults with the person…and instead, to be kind. We are called of God to bless rather than curse, to show integrity in the face of intentional wrongs, and to rise above petty annoyances…that we might acquire favor.

  1. there have been a few moments lately with an employee that were filled with some tension. She is one of the nicest Christian ladies, but will quite often be very bossy and assertive forgetting who her boss is. This is a very timely word. Instead of me taking offense to her nature, I need to see that she just needs some gentle direction and favor.

    1. Some times being so focused on the “work” that needs to get done makes us seem impatient and pushy…I speak from personal experience!!!!

  2. I want to voice my affection for your kind-heartedness in support of folks who have the need for guidance on this particular subject matter. Your very own commitment to passing the message along appears to be unbelievably practical and have in every case encouraged employees much like me to attain their goals. Your new useful publication denotes so much a person like me and further more to my mates. Regards; from all of us.

    1. Thank you for your kind words. That particular Devotional you commented about, I was preaching to myself…but I’m so glad you got something out of it also! The Lord wants us to be salt and light everywhere, not just in church.
