Isaiah 6: 8-9 ” Then I heard the Voice of the Lord saying, ‘Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?’ And I said, ‘Here am I. Send me!’ “

When the Lord’s going to talk to me, I’d sure wish He’d use His huge thunderous voice….so I’d know, that I’d know, that I’d know, it was Him speaking and not just my own silly thoughts. But usually, what I hear is that quiet, still small voice, that I have to strain physically and spiritually to perceive. It’d sure be easier if He’d use a 2×4 up the side of my head to get my attention, rather than that soft whisper I too many times choose to ignore. It doesn’t matter though how the Lord speaks…it only truly matters what I choose do when He calls.

  1. He has had to use the 2×4 method with me on several occasions and although it certainly is not the most wonderful method of getting my attention, the Lord knows that sometimes that is what it takes.
