Jonah 2:1-2 ” From inside the fish Jonah prayed to the Lord God. He said: ‘In my distress I called to the Lord, and He answered me. From the depths of the grave I called for help, and You listened to my cry.’ “

From the darkest depths of the realm of death called Sheol did Jonah summons God’s aid. And God not only heard him but delivered him. Similarly, Psalm 18 finds David praising God for delivering him from trouble and distress at the hands of his enemies when he called out to His God. Know that no matter what you may be going through today God is near to answer and rescue you…for He hears you and will lift you out of the depths. (Psalm 30:1)
