Psalm 20:7-8 ” Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the Name of the Lord our God. They are brought to their knees and fall, but we rise up and stand firm.”

The fundamental question here is where are you placing your trust today?  If it’s in yourself, or the things of the world… you’re headed for disappointment.  For you can’t place your confidence in shifting sand and expect to come out all right.  But maybe you’re in a difficult place right now and declaring God’s sovereignty over your life is near impossible.  May I remind you of Micah 7:8, “Don’t gloat over me, my enemy!  Though I sit in darkness, the Lord will be my light.”  Our trust in God isn’t dependent on the situation we’re in, the severity of the circumstances, or even on how we feel in the moment.  Our faith in God is activated, increased, and strengthened every time we decree and affirm His Name.

Habakkuk 3:2 ” Lord, I have heard of Your fame; I stand in awe of Your deeds, O Lord. Renew them in our day, in our time make them known; in wrath remember mercy.”

Our relationship with God does not revolve around one spiritual experience we once had.  Nor is it about second-hand stories we’ve heard about God.  No, our journey with the Lord is an ever growing, ever changing personal relationship with our Heavenly Father…being renewed daily in mind, body, and spirit.    Psalm 85:6 tells us, “Will You not revive us again, that Your people may rejoice in You?”  Today that would be my prayer also…Revive us again, O Lord, for Your glory!

Colossians 4:3 ” And pray for us, too, that God may open a door for our message, so that we may proclaim the mystery of Christ, for which I am in chains.”

Paul was chained up in a dark, dank prison in Rome with deplorable conditions…yet his concern was focused on proclaiming the Gospel.  So what’s my excuse?  What’s my justification for not telling others about Jesus?  How can I explain away the times I’ve had the opportunity…but didn’t speak?  God will open doors daily for us to tell others about the spiritual truths of the Gospel…we just need to be brave enough to walk through them.  I pray in the days ahead that all Believers  be endowed with a supernatural boldness to reach the lost for Jesus…times are getting short.
