This verse comes from a very familiar story…Jesus and the disciples have come into Bethany, where Martha has invited them in for a meal. She is distracted and worried about feeding 13 hungry men, while her sister Mary sits at the feet of Jesus listening. Martha’s focus becomes the meal not the Messiah. Getting the food on the table takes her attention away from who will be sitting at the place of honor eating it. Distraction and worry give way to frustration and anger. “Don’t you care Lord?” Mary laments. I can just see Jesus smiling and shaking His head saying “Martha, Martha, there is but one necessity and Mary has selected it.” But what exactly did Mary choose? She chose time with the Lord. And so I encourage you to not allow distraction, worry, and the things of this world to rob you of this “better” thing. Mary chose what was eternal…what would you choose?

Undeniably believe that which you stated. Your favorite justification seemed to be on the web the simplest thing to be aware of. I say to you, I certainly get irked while people consider worries that they just don’t know about. You managed to hit the nail upon the top as well as defined out the whole thing without having side effect , people could take a signal. Will likely be back to get more. Thanks
