It’s within our heart that originates all moral evil…it’s the seat of our Will and where our inner sinful nature resides. So it’s no wonder the fool dismisses the thought of there being a holy, true, and righteous God…for there can only be room for one Ruler in our hearts. To paraphrase Psalm 10:4, In all the thoughts of the wicked they do not seek Him; in all their thoughts there is no room for God. When we deny God, we make ourselves king and we allow our kingdom to be ruled by rebellion, delusion, and unbefitting conduct. But when we make room in our hearts for the Lord, He comes in and makes all things new from the inside out.
