Ecclesiastes 7:9 ” Do not be quickly provoked in your spirit, for anger resides in the lap of fools.”

A Proverb that goes right along with this Verse is, “A patient man has great understanding, but a quick tempered man displays folly.” So let’s consider both and try to visualize for a moment…when we are short-tempered, impatient, and easily irritated it’s something we don’t even try and hide. It’s on full display, (like this huge thing sitting on our lap), in full view and evident to all. That’s why a man that’s slow to anger and even-tempered is full of discretion and wisdom, not folly and lack of good sense.
