Psalm 101:3-4 ” I will set before my eyes no vile thing. The deeds of faithless men I hate; they will not cling to me. Men of perverse hearts shall be far from me; I will have nothing to do with evil.”

In these verses, David is disavowing and rejecting wicked deeds and actions… and the men involved in them. He is declaring to God and himself that he won’t tolerate, be sucked in, or even have contact with wicked men. He is earnestly seeking to hate what God hates, but when it comes to “bad people”, who are they? We only have to look at Proverbs 6:16-19 to get a comprehensive list. “There are six things the Lord hates, seven that are detestable to Him – haughty eyes, a lying tongue, hands that shed innocent blood, a heart that devises wicked schemes, feet that are quick to rush into evil, a false witness who pours out lies, and a man who stirs up dissension among brothers.” So in other words , if you have any acquaintances that you can recognize from this list…you may need to do something about removing them from your circle of friends.
