John 14:1 ” Let not your hearts be troubled…”

Here, Jesus’ words were of supreme comfort offered during the hour darkened by Judas’ betrayal, Simon Peter’s failure, and only a few hours from the agony of Gethsemane and His death on the Cross. Yet, this statement conveys a deep sense of peace and reassurance…intended to minister to His frightened and confused disciples rather than to His own needs. The events of the world change every hour, with catastrophic disasters, tragedies, and other misfortunes happening across the globe straightaway. But as Believers, we have this promise…Our God doesn’t change and He is still in control. From the Old to the New Testament we see this plainly spelled out…from Numbers 23:19, I Samuel 15:29, Psalm 110:4, Malachi 3:6 to Romans 11:29, Hebrews 7:21,and James 1:17…God doesn’t change and His ultimate plan and purpose will never be thwarted.
