Psalm 95:1-2 ” Come, let us sing joy to the Lord; let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation. Let us come before Him with thanksgiving and extol Him with music and song.”

So why is the author of this Psalm urging the people to arise and shout praises to God? Isaiah 12:6 may give us a reason…”Shout aloud and sing for joy, people of Zion, for great is the Holy One of Israel among you.” The Lord is in the midst of us so why not glorify His Name? But even if you just “sing and make music in your heart to the Lord”, (Ephesians 5:19) thanking God for what He’s done during the Pandemic to keep you safe is the very least you can do. Or as Psalm 5:11 tells us, “Let all who take refuge in You be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread Your protection over them, that those who love Your Name may rejoice in You.”
