Jeremiah 12:2 ” You have planted them, and they have taken root; they grow and bear fruit. You are always on their lips but far from their hearts.”

Our God desires sincerity of the heart over mere lip service…a genuine expression of devotion rather than empty and superficial rituals. Isaiah 29:13 tells us, “These people come near Me with their mouth and honor Me with their lips, but their hearts are far from Me.” In both Titus 1:16 and II Timothy 3:5, the Apostle Paul is exhorting them to watch out for “False Christianity”. Teachers claiming to “know” God, but their actions contradict and show no evidence of transformation by the Holy Spirit. Even today we must be careful and discerning of those who claim to have a form of godliness but deny its power. As Jesus said, “You will know them by their fruit.” (Matthew 7:16)
