Psalm 59:16 ” But I will sing of Your strength, in the morning I will sing of Your love; for You are my fortress, my refuge in times of trouble.”

Before my feet hit the floor, I need to remind my soul that God is in control. For many times, as I sit with my first cup of coffee, my mind is already racing ahead with the things I need to get done for the day. That’s when He gently reminds me of His Presence. Oops! Good morning Lord! Then Psalm 5:3 comes to mind, “In the morning, O Lord, You hear my voice; in the morning I lay my requests before You and wait in expectation.” Okay Lord, let’s start all over, my day is Yours, and I don’t need to carry anything You’re already holding. I thank you for Your grace and mercy, and know nothing will happen today that will take You by surprise, for You are in absolute control. Therefore, I will place my faith and trust in You…assured by Your steadfast love. Amen.
