Exodus 33:14-15 ” The Lord replied, ‘My Presence will go with you, and I will give you rest.’ Then Moses said to Him, ‘If Your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here.’ “

It would have been useless for the Israelites to attempt the journey to the Promise Land without God…and Moses knew that. The promised Land of Milk and Honey would be meaningless and hold no value without God guiding and protecting them on the way there. King David was also well aware of his need for God’s Presence, and his fear of losing it in Psalm 51:11, when he begged God not to take His Presence from him. We can face the most dangerous wilderness with confidence as long as God is with us…but will experience failure in the Promised Land without Him.
