Preach Christ…and every now and again, open your mouth.

You may never stand behind a pulpit, but your life’s walk with the Lord preaches to those around you everyday. This is modern paraphrase from St. Francis of Assisi who urged his friars to “preach by their deeds”. We see this also in I Thessalonians 4:11-12, when the Apostle Paul exhorted Believers to live peacefully, take personal responsibility, work diligently, and conduct themselves in a respectable way. And thus we also should be always striving, not for the honor that comes from self-assertion or showy personal greatness, but through humble, industrious and compassionate behavior. Your life can preach immeasurably by simply avoiding conflict and drama, minding your own business, and being respectful, honest, and kind.
